At its heart re:vive
is a church.
At its heart our church is about people.
In 2005, after several years of praying together, a group of ten Christian friends decided to start a church.
The purpose of starting a new church revolved around the idea of creating a faith community without some of the traditional barriers that many existing churches have developed, that effectively keep people at arms length from God.
So, it was decided that re:vive would adopt a
‘two-invite’ strategy:
Invite one – you are invited to be part of a vibrant social community.
Invite two – you are invited to get to know more about God and to enter into a life-transforming relationship with him.
The bottom-line with this strategy is that the choice is yours. If you choose to be part of the social scene re:vive generates but don’t want to get to know God, that’s fine. As long as you’re not antagonistic to those who might want to know more, you’re more than welcome to be part of the re:vive community. The flip side being that if you’d like to find out more about God but are nervous of large crowds then, hey, attendance at social gatherings isn’t mandatory.
